The main difference between Cat 6 and Cat 7 Ethernet cables is that Cat 7 supports speeds up to 40 Gbps while Cat 6 supports speeds up to 10 Gbps.  Moreover, Cat 7 is superior in every way compared to Cat 6, except that it is thicker and more expensive. That said, for normal home networks, Cat 6 will be more than enough.
